During a conversation with a really good friend of mine and a great testimony at church Sunday it occurred
to me that many of us are afraid of succeeding or held back due to our ‘past’. As a society we deal more on the past than
the future which is a huge hindrance and can even hold us back from our destiny
that was planned for us before we were conceived. I find that it is important as a society that
we no longer evaluate the worth of an individual based on their past yet more
based on their present and potential. We
can assist in the pushing of someone into their destiny just as we have the
ability to do the opposite.
It is just as important that we not be afraid to tell our
own ‘past’ goodbye. At what point of
life is it okay to admit your transgressions and confess to your growth while
not being fearful to step forward? I
always tell people that; “You cannot drive forward successfully while looking
in the rearview mirror”. So we must look
ahead to the future so that we can make the necessary steps forward to
succeed. No we cannot change the past or
what we once may have been BUT so what?!
One that does not make mistakes does not learn. Many of us may have made larger mistakes than
others but does that make your worth any different. I hate the terms such as; ‘once a
________always a_______’. We are
speaking this negative into existence while also blocking the breakthrough that
may be about to take place in someone’s life.
Time for a change…..no
time for fear. So as you continue
down your journey to success fear not because God says, for I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future. {Jeremiah 29:11}
Until next time
WE do not have to be what we once were and
WE shall not judge one based on such.
Speak positive into the lives of others for they too have a future and
have a plan to prosper. Tell the Past on
Bye!!
Look at you! You're on a blogging roll! Keep sharing the wisdom :-)
